SmartThings v2 hub welcome code

Hi, I’m trying to set up an old SmartThings v2 hub I found. I was on the original v1 kickstarter, got the v2 at some point, and I’m not sure I ever set it up. Now I need zwave support again, and remembered I had it. I believe I need a welcome code but I don’t have one.

@Itati @nayelyz could you help me get a welcome code (I saw you tagged on a similar post)? My serial number is 3000112844. Thanks!

Dont you just add it in the smartthings app and it generates a welcome code? Add New Hub?

I reviewed your Hub, and it appears as ‘CLAIMED.’ This means it is already installed on the SmartThings platform, and you won’t be able to claim it with another account. Here are some instructions to reset the Hub:

  1. Connect the Hub via ethernet
  2. Then, follow the steps to factory reset it. Here’s a link that has the instructions for different models:
    Factory reset or reboot your SmartThings Hub

Please let me know once the reset is complete, and I’ll be happy to assist further.

By the way, I accidentally connected the power adapter while the batteries were still inside, which caused the adapter to stop working and completely drained the batteries within a day. I then attempted a factory reset, thinking I could easily repair the device. As part of that process, I removed it from the SmartThings app. Now, it’s asking for the welcome code, which I no longer have and don’t remember saving anywhere.

I hope I’m going about this right. Anyways, I purchased a used Smart things hub at a reseller recently, and came across these posts. Although I have the original box, there’s no documentation or manuals included. Could you please help me get a welcome code for model STH-ETH-200, serial # 3000389757?
