SmartThings Hub v2 Welcome Code

Hi there. Is there a way to get the welcome code? lost mine and after a reset it needed it again. Tried contacting the norwegian support (live i norway), but no luck. is it a paperweigh now?

Only method for getting the Welcome code is ST support.


And to contact them I have to call a us number or is there a mail? The link in app doesn’t work :see_no_evil:

ST has been changing their Contact methods over the past few months and made it more difficult then it needs to be.

tap on Menu, then select Contact us and select “Couldn’t add device” then choose “Smart Home Hub” and go from there. (I think :man_shrugging: :man_shrugging: :man_shrugging: :man_shrugging:)

Explain you need the welcome code to add the v2 hub. They will probably come back and ask for a photo of the bottom of the hub that clearly shows the serial # of the hub.

don’t post that serial number on this public forum

finally… open the battery compartment and check if the Welcome code was imprinted on the bottom of the compartment cover.
