SmartThings multisensor won’t use new Edge Driver

Any idea why when I remove this from ST and add it back in, it’s still adding it with a DTH? It even remembers it’s original name … I don’t have a custom DTH for it, it simply uses “SmartSense Multi Sensor”.

Smartthings Beta Zigbee contact driver will also work

Hi @neod192

The fact that you use the original DTH does not mean that the exact fingerprints of your device are in any driver edge, stock or community.
If it does not find a compatible edge driver installed in your Hub, it will use the stock DTH that is in the Hub

You can look at device fingerprints in IDE and publish them

Here’s the fingerprint. It matches the post I was replying to, which is why I thought it would find a matching Edge driver (either the ST standard one or yours). I’d like to use your driver - I installed the “Zigbee Multi Sensor Mc” from the “Mariano Shared Beta Driver” channel - is that the right one?

It has a fingerprint in the default channel and it would appear you have deleted the device and reinstalled it as new. I’d be expecting it to use the Edge driver too.

I am just wondering if it has been subscribed to by a legacy app and that has been preventing it being completely deleted. From the descriptions I’ve heard the apps have been disabled rather than actually deleted so perhaps the subscription survives.

OK, so even after installing Zigbee Contact Mc, it still installed with the DTH. I have 2 other of these sensors installed - do I need to delete them all before I add one back in?

PS. I removed all my SmartApps yesterday, so a subscription to an old app (the smart lock was using it) shouldn’t be a problem.

PS2. I like my new thread !

when you remove the device from the ST app… is it also being removed from IDE?

It does NOT! That could be it. Let me remove it from the IDE and re-add it.

That was it! After deleting it from the IDE manually, it forgot its original name and was added with the Zigbee Contact Mc driver  Thanks guys!
