SmartThings Energy vs. Aeotec Pico Switch

Greetings!

So … the IKEA “Grillplats” smart socket installation suggested I enable SmartThings Energy, and so I did.

Now I do have other devices in my household that do energy monitoring, mostly Aeotec “Pico Switch”.

Those don’t show up in Energy. Are they supposed to? How do I make them?

Ask the manufacturer if they could have the device certified for SmartThings Energy.

So not just a matter of removing and re-adding it while Energy is enabled?

Nope. That might work if the device was added before it got certified.

It’s all a bit mysterious, though. There’s no official list of devices that work with SmartThings Energy.

I did buy these very early, right when they first became available. I’ll give it a shot.
