Smart Home Monitor LIVE!

Spelling error on the first splash screen of the Smart Home Monitor, the first ‘you’ I think should be ‘your’.

Also, how come the ‘when things start happening’ is missing from my Good Morning action?

I never got the contacts portion. Apparently, it’s being pushed out slowly automagically as well.

You need to have a mode change for that option to appear.

Dashboard shows only smart Home monitor for Locations that are created after 2.0

For Locations created under 1.0 it also eg family Presence …odd

Good Call!!! Thanks for that tidbit of info. Is that a new requirement? I don’t recall that being in the previous app version.

That is not true. My existing location from 1.X has the Smart Home Monitor. I didn’t create a new location. It’s probably just configured on their back end for any new locations to automagically receive it.

Was there right away?
Or could be pushed out to customers in phases?

Locations make me nuts anyways.
Thought they are just to trigger event like when at work do …

But they are more like fully New instances of smartthing

It was pushed out sometime this morning around 9am EST.

That was always true:

the sonos speakers may be used in the future with SHM ?

Am I totally dumb or is this hidden somewhere? How do I change to Arm(Away) or Arm(Stay) automatically? The Goodbye and I’m Back routines do no show Arm(Away) or Arm(Stay) modes.

Inside of the routine’s settings, you’ll find an option “Set Smart Home Monitor to:”

Ha… I see it now… Thanks

I’m trying to use Echo in SmartHome Monitoring, but so far I’m not able to launch a routine when a simulated momentary switch is pushed (I am currently using @geko SmartAlarm with minor changes to accomodate momentary switches, and therefore Echo).
It will also be very useful to the tasker integration I’m currently using (both critical to WAF approval)

Am I missing something?

Tim,

So, I have tried setting the “for how long” feature to various times from 2 to 10 minutes, but SHM never notifies me that I left the door open. If I remove the value from “for how long”’ then SHM notifies me immediately when I open the door.

Any ideas of what I’m doing wrong?

Dan

I’m not 100% sure if I understand your question, but see if this helps:

What about a Left it open on mode change/arming?

I have a community app that alerts if I left a door open when mode changes to away or night.

I had Smart Home Monitor, and then it disappeared.

I must have gotten yours, I have two and my wife’s account has none. Happy Happy Joy Joy!

And it worked…without blaring the sirens…I had it armed when at work. Check out the second message in the second image.
