Simple RFID Reader (WiFi, Z-Wave, Zigbee, etc) for SmartThings?

If you’re open To NFC tags, you just need an inexpensive android phone, and then three paid apps: trigger, Tasker, and sharptools. Lots of people have done that.

How far can we go with automation? (Integrating NFC tags with SmartThings)

I was sitting here thinking how hard would it be to integrate NFC tags to Smartthings? I thought about using IFFFT but they only do part of what I want to happen… switch on/off. I would like to get it to automate something like home/away or trigger a “Hello” I always set my phone on the corner of the headboard where it vibrates the loudest ONLY when I go to sleep. Thus if there was a NFC tag there it would automatically trigger goodnight.
