Shelly 1 Install One Way Switch

I have a standard one way switch to a garden light, i would like to install a Shelly 1 so i can control from ST.

I have attached a photo of the current wiring to the switch, could someone assist and advise how to wire the Shelly in.

Thanks in advance

By the looks of it you have no neutral at the switch and as far as I’m aware the shelly one requires a neutral to work. You could try wiring at the light end where there has to be a neutral if that’s possible or I think shelly do a dimmer that doesn’t require a neutral. Hope this helps

Thanks Adam, can you suggest an alternative that requires no neutral (Fibaro, Aeotec?)

Both are good alternatives I have both fibaro dimmer 2 and aeotec nano dimmer and both don’t require a neutral also work locally on the hub.

Do you know of any switches (without neutral) that are simple on/off, without dimmer function.

The following Aeotec does appear to be, but the customer comments appear to say neutral is required?

I don’t know of any module switches that work without a neutral but these physical switches do but I don’t have one myself.

Cheers, i had my eye on these earlier today.

I think i will try one of these.

Let us know how you get on as I’m sure there’s many of us in the UK wondering what light switches to get.
