Sensor H2O

Hi everyone, I always have the problem that this water detector tuya

is not recognized with any of the drivers I have installed, can anyone help me?

I attach fingerprint

You could try the ZigBee Moisture Sensor Mc driver. Unfortunately this community written driver is no longer supported so it may not include your fingerprints.

I tried the Mc driver but it doesn’t see it… Are there no more drivers published by fingerprint in this community?

Tuya devices in particular are a mess given the business model and keeping a driver updated with all the random fingerprints and the nuances of each device is an arduous task. Since the way custom drivers work is mostly not a community effort but an individual effort, when said individual gets tired of adding random fingerprints or thinks they’re working for free for SmartThings or Tuya, the support ends.

This is the driver that I am using for the same sensor. I have five sensors connected and they are all working fine.

These devices are a little difficult to pair. Difficult, because to get the sensor in paring mode you need to push very hard on the front/center of the sensor, where the water drop is. It requires that you apply considerable force on the flexing bubble, and to hold it down until a very faint blue light begins to flash. I is helpful to try to connect the sensor in low light so that you can see the flashing light once it enters paring mode. Hope this helps??

Is it the same though? Same vendor and model? Tuya ecosystem is full of clones with different fingerprints and Mc drivers only target specific fingerprints.

the sensor pairs, but does not find the right driver… But is it not also possible to add the fingerprint of this sensor for a fee? I understand that users will be tired of doing everything for free…

This is the sensor information from AliExpress:

Interesting, that’s not the actual data reported by the sensor, but that’s expected in those marketplaces where sometimes you don’t know what you’re buying:

That’s why it works for your unit but not for OP, they’re not the same even if they are clones since they identify using different models/manufacturers.
