Tuya Water Leak & Flood Sensor Zigbee driver


On popular request, this driver is for the Tuya Water Leak and Flood sensor. This can be used to detect water leaks and flooding from SmartThings.

The sensors come in different form factors from 2 inch puck style to those with 3ft long leads, single sided sensor to dual sided contacts, with and without a built in alarm (60 to 90db). Depending on the model the batteries vary from button cells (e.g. CR2032, CR2450) to full size AA/AAA batteries.

A key focus of this driver is to extend the battery life of these sensors through SmartThings.

NOTES

  • If you are seeing the device go offline/online frequently it means your ZigBee mesh is experiencing packet loss and likely has a problematic Zigbee router or needs one closer to the sensors. See this on how to rebuild your Zigbee mesh

Since these devices come in many different shapes and forms, if you come across one that’s not recognized by the driver feel free to contact us to add support for it.

Getting this when I click on the link:

It asks for a username and password to install the driver for the Tuya water leak sensor.

Your license may have expired or username/password typed in incorrectly.

Theirs a fee for rboys drivers.

  • (New) Added support for temperature sensors
  • (New) Custom dashboard with sensor and temperature status
  • (Fix) Devices with temperature don’t show up in the temperature widget (this causes the icon to be shown incorrectly on the dashboard for now until SmartThings fixes the temperature widget)

  • (Fix) Fix for some models going offline

NOTE: For these changes to take effect the devices may need to excluded and re-paired for some models (best option), or for some models you can wake up the device and force a refresh from the SmartThings device page (pull down).

I don’t have a licence and I’m not even sure the driver would work with it. Is the driver chargeable , if so what is the cost?
