Has anyone gotten this Zigbee magnetic contact sensor to work with the SmartThings hub? I bought a 2-pack of these on Amazon because the listing said “Works with SmartThings” but my ST hub cannot see either of them. I do not have a Sengled hub - am I SOL?

I tried it just now. To my amazement it worked! I guess Samsung is no longer updating/maintaining the Classic app, and all new functionality is going strictly into the new app? 
yes, Classic will be phased out at some point
I am trying to add the Sengled Smart Window and Door switch to the new app, but no luck so far. The app has made it so far a getting an image of the QR code from the devise, but does nothing after the “Pull the battery tab from the device”. After a few minutes the app goes to an error screen saying “There was a problem connecting to the device. Try again.”

Carlos, No I was not able to pair them. Additionally, when I returned them for a refund, the company claimed that they never received them and refused to refund my money.

To add the door sensors, in the new ST app, add device>Scan for nearby devices, then press the sensors reset button 4-8 seconds, the red LED flashes twice, after a minute, the ST app finds the new sensor. I did also manually add the github*nyce-open-closed-sensor.groovy device handler, and that is what is automatically assigned when I got it paired. Not sure if I needed to do that, but selecting SENGLED sensor when adding devices never worked for me, even with removing the battery, pressing holdiing reset button. Only scanning for nearby devices worked for me.
I have 1 in 4 connect. No idea how to solve the issue
