has anyone not been selected for the campaign?
Are you asking because you havenāt had the email yet or are you asking because you want to point and laugh ?
Not at all, looking at previous campaing blogs theres usually a few people saying āi didnt get in congrats to those who didā. I havnt seen a single one, would suggest delays are due to the campaign not having enough people.
Super super surprisingly seems as though I was an impatient ā¦ sorry I mean lucky one to be chosen.
Noob here but very excited to (finally) be accepted onto the trial. Iāve dabbled with home automation using the aged rf protocol (telldus tellstick net for the Tasker integration). Iām now looking forward to being able to start playing with the more powerful smartthings hub and devices.
Is it safe to assume the trial will be using the v2 product rangeā¦ Or is this a sneaky way of getting rid of the old v1 stock 
Either way I canāt grumble and very excited to start thinking of some uses to apply.

Iāve been rejected. Considering Iām well involved with lots of future Samsung tech that SmartThings will Integrate with, Iām a little surprised. Would be good to know why I didnāt fit the criteria, but communication is not something this organisation is good at.
To my understanding, must be a V2 as V1 was only available in the USA and they use different frequencies to Europe.

The Insiders program is using the new generation hardware and productsā¦ we only had a VERY small (maybeā¦ craft?) batch of version 1 products for the UK that came out of our Kickstarter campaign. If anything, I wouldnt mind having a few of them back so that I can resell them as collectors items 25 years from now.
There was great demand for the programā¦ I think the delays were both us and them (supply chain, people selections, etc - the usual headaches). Participants are selected using a variety of factorsā¦ ultimately they categorize applicants into little boxes to cover a variety of testing and marketing demographics. The Insiders may have already had too many applicants in a specific demo group (eg. the tech blog fanboy nerds like me) and needed more people in the over 60 or hippy art student category.
I thought that (and sure I read) that the UK kit being sold at Currys, and the starter kits issued by The Insiders were the V2 kits? I didnāt even though that the old V1 kit was available in the UK?

You will receive your parcel on October 8 at the earliest, so from then on youāll receive a UPS delivery email indicating when you are able to pick up your parcel at your chosen pick-up point. Be patient as the delivery might take a few days.

I think it says Ā£99 as thats the deposit they will have taken.
Has anyone had their dispatch email from UPS yet? Says its due to arrive from tomorrow, but havenāt heard from UPS yet
Noā¦ Nothing yet, was assuming that we would receive the email tomorrow, I.E. the despatch would be tomorrow, āParcels will be delivered FROM October 8 and onwardsā,
But think we can all only cross our fingers.
I do not think there was an official date set in stone, although Aaron had mentioned a predicted start date as being the 8h. (see post above.)
There are an awful lot of things going on behind the scenes by Samsung and Staff to make the whole SmartThings work and to be honest the WOM Campaign is possibly not too high on that list right now.
Hope I am wrong and the kit is sent out in the very near future, but I would not be surprised if there is a short delay. Hopefully if there is a need for another delay we are notified quickly.
If it were me, I wouldnāt send them out until the OAuth the problem was fixed. SmartThings without SmartTiles, SharpTools/SmartRules, IFTTT and harmony is a whole different system.

Exciting news: the first batch of packs are shipping as we speak! Some of your packs will be delivered to your UPS pick-up point today, others can expect theirs during next week (from Monday onwards). Shipping this many packages takes time, so please be patient. Once your parcel arrives at the pick-up point of your choice, you will receive an email from UPS. In this email youāll find the address and opening hours as well."
