I was able to get the camera into SmartThings finally - there was a config option on my wifi that had a legacy mode enabled for 802.11bgn on 2.4ghz frequency, when I switched it to N only the devices were all able to talk to each other properly and the camera could be added.
It lags out and says it can’t play video when I try to do that now, but at least it’s in smartthings itself
