Samsung Smart Watches as Routine Triggers?

Can a Samsung Smart Watch be used to trigger a ST Routine in the same manner as the phone can trigger a routine? Thanks.

Yes, it can.

My Galaxy Watch does not show up as a trigger in ST.

Sorry, maybe I misunderstood the question. What is possible is to initiate execution of a SmartThings manually run routine from the watch.

It depends on what you mean by “trigger a routine.”

At the time of this writing, the watches do not have presence reporting, so you can’t automatically trigger as they come and go.

I believe there are some options for widgets or similar ways to individually activate a specific scene/device.

In the SmartThings app, if you select “Menu” → “How to use” → “SmartThings for Galaxy Watch”, you can see what’s supported.

From my experience, a Samsung Smart Watch can trigger routines in the SmartThings app just like your phone. It’s pretty convenient! I’ve set mine up to turn on lights and adjust the thermostat just by tapping a few buttons on my wrist.

I’ve also been on the lookout for stylish accessories, and I recently found this Patek Philippe replica that looks amazing—way better than the originals, in my opinion! It’s got that sleek vibe I love, and I can wear it while using my smartwatch without feeling like I’m sacrificing style. If you dive into the SmartThings settings, you can probably set it up to trigger all your routines easily.
