I should have it delivered this week, Iāll report on SmartThings integration soon I hope.
Iām running one of these at home right now. Shout out with any questions if you have them.
wow that is a really nice looking unit. going to check out reviews!
I have a neato bot now (quite old and working great still) i love how it actually maps the room. curious as to how this one goes for you.
anyone moved from neato to samsung bots?
@Tyler
I have the vacuum, it is registered in Samsung Smart Home app for Android, I can control it from there yet it is not found by SmartThings app. Tried from Things and from Samsung Home smart app too, neither could find the vacuum.
The phone and the vacuum are on the same wifi network.
Are the hub and the vacuum on the same network?
Yes they are.
Meanwhile I managed to connect. I donāt know what the problem was but it worked eventually.
I had to repeat the pairing a few times, eg because SmartThings didnāt detect that I pressed the recharge button more than 3 seconds.
Thank you.
@Tyler Do you happen to know how can I share a vacuum with my wife in Samsung Smart Home Android app? Or how can I share the floormap in SmartThings?
I installed Samsung Smart Home Android app (not SmartThings) on her phone and logged in with my credentials.
The vacuum was there but when I opened details I got error that wifi is not connected and started the wifi setup dialog. However, even though I enabled AP mode on vacuum it couldnāt save wifi.
Vacuum is still connected to wifi and I can control it from Samsung Smart Home Android app on my phone.
Iām not sure how to share from within the Smart Home app. Iāll try when Iām at home next.
Hi Tyler, did you have time to look at this? Unfortunately Samsung support didnāt reply yet.
I didnāt have that issue. I was able to open up the app on a second phone and control the vacuum immediately. Let me know what Samsung support says!
So you just logged in with the same account and could control the vacuum? Did you try it on a Samsung phone by any chance?
I tried on Nexus 5 and Nexus 5X.
Nexus 5 works after I redo the wifi setup. Floorplan is visible but not the renames to the rooms.
Nexus 5X doesnāt connect either after login and I canāt redo the wifi setup.
Sorry about writing these here, Samsung support still didnāt reply.
There was an update to the vacuum on Monday 17 June, since then the SmartThings integration doesnāt work. I had the vacuum added and worked before but not after the update.
I deleted the device but it wasnāt found when I tried to add again.
Phone, vacuum and ST hub are all on same network.
Any recommendation what to try?
Iām tempted to get the model VR20H9052WW⦠says in amazon spain itās got wifi⦠will it do?
Oh⦠darn⦠will need a european hub v2⦠might have to postpone⦠
Is there an integration for VR20K9350WK where I can select a room to clean? Or a public api?
Does the Turbo version work with SmartThings?
Also is there a reason to stay away from refurbished other than the shortened warranty perioid?
Yes, except for the integration is broken right now. This is the non-refurbished one.
I have the vacuum working with ST but the dashboard portion that allows for it to start when everyone leaves and go back to the charger when you return does not. The dashboard app works it just does not start and stop the vacuum based on the hello home stuff. I have to just turn it on like a light from the goodbye action and itās still running when I get back (if it turn it off it just parks where it is and does not return to the charger). Does anyone else have this part working?
Looking in the log I see this (for goodbye/start vacuum):

All of the integration worked fine u til the Sept 15th meltdown. It didnāt work at all for weeks, itās a little better now. Still a shame they canāt even make their parent companies products work properly as expected.
