Samsung Radiant Speakers - 4 "things" per one speaker?

I helped a family member setup the Samsung R3 with their Smartthings setup. It works great! However, when they performed the integration, Smartthings shows it found four speakers, even though they only have one R3. Only one of the four speakers shows the proper status and can be controlled. With that said, I have two questions:

  1. Any reason why Smartthings finds four speakers with four different IPs, even though the speaker has a DHCP reservation, which is essentially a static IP?

  2. Is there any harm in removing the other three non-functional speakers from the Smartthings App? I wasn’t sure if it’s some type of protocol which requires all four to be listed to work properly.

He just bought an R1 to add to the setup so I’m trying to make it as simple as possible for him without having, what may now be eight “speaker” devices to choose from!

Thanks!
