I guess this started around 2 weeks ago, but the SmartThings app no longer loads on my Galaxy S20 phone. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, but no luck. It gets to a point where it says “Getting everything ready” and spins .. and that’s it.
My account is still good, I can access everything just fine from my desktop computer.
I don’t really want to start over and set everything up from scratch (I shouldn’t have to), especially when I know it works on other devices.. how do I know if I zero it all out that my cell won’t have the same problem?
What version of Android does your S20 run? Requirements on the Google Play site say Android 11 or higher. Check Google Play for compatibility verification.
Appreciate the response.. I should have mentioned. I am on Android 13, but that was a good train of thought. I have been using SmartThings since before they were purchased by Samsung so I am used to a lot of ‘This and That’, but this particular issue has never happened to me before. Like I said, it was working just a week or two before now so I do not know what changed. Nothing on my end that I am aware of.
OK so I backed up another version 1.8.33.25 and now it works again. I looked at the notifications and the last one I received was the one about SAFE was now active in the app.. I think its called SAFE?
So I backed up to a version that does not yet have that feature and I am back online in my cell phone. It seems that my phone does not like that new feature.
