That won’t happen, support for that version was discontinued two or three years ago, now the minimum is Android 12 (edit: originally wrote 11 but that was the support that terminated in December).

While there may be business reasons to only support versions up to 5 years old, supporting old Android versions also increases the development effort when adding new features.

Given android 8 was released in 2017 its highly unlikely to be brought back in scope at this stage. The percentage of people using android 8 must be tiny and of those needing smartthings an even smaller slice. Appreciate that’s not what you’d want to hear given you’re an active user but other than upgrade to newer hardware on a supported android version I don’t think you have any other options. :slightly_frowning_face:
