[RELEASE] Rental Lock Automater - Airbnb, VRBO, HomeAway, TripAdvisor, Booking, Expedia

@Buster - thank you, but what is one to do if they are not that technical to set up a proxy server? This breaks my rental process and is infuriating, as I don’t know who to go to on this. Who’s problem is this? VRBO or Samsung? Any additional options would be great to hear.

It is a stale mate. VRBO needs to downgrade, or Samsung Upgrade. Tackle both by calling their support lines. If you are not technical then use a calendar aggregation tool.

Houfy.com has a paid calendar aggregator on the way too.

Important HOTFIX for VRBO, Homeaway and OwnerRez

Rental Lock Automater (RLA) - Version 04.06.00

  • (Fix) VRBO, HomeAway and 365 Villas having connection errors
  • (Fix) OwnerRez phone numbers not being extracted correctly

RLA supports Channel Managers & Custom Calendars integrations for for hundreds of channel managers, custom PMS systems and custom calendars.

Fixed VRBO connection error for me

Confirmed, the 04.06.00 version worked around my VRBO failure as well. Two questions:

  1. How? Is RLA now acting as a GCM proxy?
  2. I only seem to learn about new versions of RLA when I check in to Rboy releases or support discussions. I see an option for “Check for new versions of the app” in RLA and have it enabled, but it I don’t seem to ever get any automatic updates or even notification of new versions. Am I missing something with this feature?

Terry

Starting v04.06.00, RLA now supports the following custom channel manager iCalendar integrations:

I am receiving an error code “ error downloading property unit 1 Airbnb calendar” I have not seen this before and everything looks fine within the app. Has anyone seen this before?

I can see the same

Justin via SmartThings Community <smartthings@discoursemail.com> ezt írta (időpont: 2021. márc. 23., K 4:39):

I’m seeing the error as well. I found this in the logs “Failed to complete. Message was: Received fatal alert: handshake_failure. Retrying using synchronous request”

Update 2: We have a preemptive release 04.07.01 available which should automatically workaround the issue should Airbnb introduce the breaking changes to their authentication again in future

Update: Airbnb has reverted the changes so it’s working now. We’ve also got a new version coming out which will help if they deploy the changes in future.

SmartThings has a BETA release of a web based mobile app where you can access your SmartApps through a browser, try it out at https://my.smartthings.com

Google has made some changes to their calendar servers which is causing issues for some users. If you’re seeing a 400 error when using Google calendar update to version 04.08.01

I see I can change the setpoints for my Ecobee thermostat as a check-out rule.

Is there a way to change the mode too? Cooling / OFF / etc? This would help save energy

This app is genuinely brilliant. RBoy Apps issue timely updates for new issues and after a summer of working with it, I simply cannot fault it.

My codes are out of order. How do I fix it?

Manual User 1 pin is displayed as 1234. It was set 1y ago to 4567 (never changed).
1234 has been set for User 4 (also a year ago)

The notification upon unlock with 4567 is correct (User 1).
But it makes management complicated.
How do I fix it?

(5 users have incorrect codes, from other users)

It sounds like another app may have programmed the lock causing a mix up or there was some sort internal data corruption in the platform (in which case it’s usually a good idea to delete all the codes first using the clear codes procedure and then reinstall the app). Use the Clear Codes procedure from the FAQ page to clear all codes and reprogram them. If only the manual users are the problem, set then number of Manual Users to 0. Click Done, wait for 15 minutes for the app to clear all the manual users, then go back in and restore it to the original number and reprogram your manual users.

Hi @RBoy , how do you register RFID keys? I cant find any information on how to do that. I am using Idlock 150

SmartThings cannot program RFID tags but with the Enhanced Device Handler you can have it report the tag usage and create custom actions/notification using this app when the tags are used: [RELEASE] Lock User Unlock/Lock Door Notifications and Actions

Brilliant! Thanks👍
