[RELEASE] Heatit Z-TRM2fx / Z-TRM3 Electronic Thermostat Device Handler (Official)

Hi SFalk… thanks for responding. It doesn’t show any driver after I deleted the Rboy one. I can’t find any instructions anywhere on how to install the Edge driver. I had understood that once I’d clicked the invitation link and enrolled and then installed the Heatit Thermostat drivers on next page then they would be visible somewhere or automatically included within the Smartthings App but I don’t see anything there

You can see your installed edge drivers and subscibed channels from the app. Select your SmartThings Hub device > three dots > Driver.
For the fingerprint, see if this helps:

The fingerprint for a ztrm2fx with fw 1.92 is

deviceManufacturerCode: "019B-0003-0202"

I obtained this from simple device viewer at ST Device Info Viewer

(more here: [RELEASE] Simple Device Info Viewer)

My 1.92 device is using the edge driver and working in the ST app, but as previously described, the edge driver does not expose the temperature so things like Home Assistant and Google Nest don’t display the device optimally.

I’m crawling along and your help is great.
So I managed to see that the drivers are indeed installed having taken your first part of help.

However, with the fingerprint I feel like you have to first have the thermostats connected to the system which is my number 1 problem I think!! I scan for nearby devices when I’ve put them in CONN mode and have the spinning icon… but they never show up.

I attached one to the system using the DTH code and inputting it into Smartthings as a Z-Wave Multichannel device and (when that didn’t work) as a Z-Wave Thermostat… but neither of these work… they show a device as connected but do not allow me to change drivers or do anything else.

When I do this the fingerprint info is just “Smartthings” so I don’t think its correct!

Any more advice?

Try to exclude your device and then try to pair it again.

New official Edge drivers (and discussions) are here:

Hi, I have reset to factory settings, and completely reset my hub to factory settings. I went onto Smatthings IDE and made sure it was removed on there too.
Reconnected the HUB and enrolled and then added the Heatit drivers.
Tried to connect the thermostats and still get this “ERR” error.
Have been in contact over and over with Thermo-Floor (who make them… I think!) and have basically been told it is not their problem.
I am wondering if the thermostats ‘think’ they are still connected to a Z-Wave system and that a factory reset does not eliminate this. Does anyone know if that is possible and/or if there is any other solution?

I have 5 Heatit thermostats installed in our wintercabin in Lappland. The electricity grid in this area is very unreliable, blackouts occuring often. Until last christmas we relied on a Fibaro HC1, which fore some reason could not handle restart of the system after blackout.

I tried a smartthings system but ended up without being able to control the thermostats. I spent quite some time trying various solutions. Heat its support was not helåfull.

Finally I decided to try Fibaros Home Center 3 and it worked! I have been using the Yubii software, available to all Fibaro HC users, Dont know if Fibaros inhouse software is still available.

This last friday i attempted to install an updated software version. Which was not a wise decision. The Fibaro support team have not been able to resolve my problem. Worst case i have to restart building my system, which would be possible.

Hello,
I don’t quite understand how to proceed. I get the following message when I follow the step by step instructions on how to install drivers from the website… What else should I do?

I looks like you successfully installed the driver.

The next step is to pair the device you want to use the driver.

Or for an existing device, in the mobile app open the device tile > click on 3 dots > driver > change driver > select driver you want.

Thanks for the help, I’ll try this when I get home from offshore. Must be connected to Heatit - Z-Wave, as well as Heatit - Thermostat Z-TRM3. Hope I get it done.

Have a nice day.

Lykke til!

Hi,
I have installed Heatit Z-Water, and Heatit Z-temp2. How do I get them to talk together? ? How do I connect these two devices together?

Thanks for the help.

Best regards,
Stein

Hi @saimax

Did you manage to connect Z-water and Z-temp2 in SmartThings in a good way? I plan to do the same setup in a few days. Did you end up using routines to control z-water?

Any help appreciated.

Hello. No Unfortunately. So I got a Homey pro insteadstead
