Recommendation for smart outlet with energy reporting?

Hi guys - I’m looking for recommendations for a reliable smart outlet that will give me energy readings. I have a few of these https://www.smartthings.com/products/samsung-smartthings-outlet-2016 and they work flawlessly.

I would love to just get another one of these outlets, however it is only rated for a max load of 300w, and the projector I want to use it with is rated up to 380w. Do you think that would be OK? Is anyone using this outlet with loads > 300 watts?

I see there are some other devices, like the Aeon Labs smart switch 6 that apparently goes up to 1500 watts. But I am not sure if it is as reliable (no network dropouts etc) and if indeed I can turn off its colored light using just SmartThings and nothing else.

What smart outlets are you using that you love and can recommend? Thanks!

As a side note, in my case I will never use this outlet for power on/off - it will always be in the On position. But the main thing I want it for is to be able to monitor the energy usage (and to detect when its been left on too long).

I have 10 Iris Outlets…And certainly my media devices go way over 300…and so does the one that has my desk equipment…

This one I use for our washing machine… I use the energy feature when washing is complete.

I have couple of these switches https://www.thesmartesthouse.com/products/hank-z-wave-plus-smart-plug-hkzw-so01.

They are rated @ 1800 watts. I’ve had them for about 3 months and have not had any problems whatsoever. One monitors and controls my well pump and I haven’t fried it yet.

I use one of these to monitor my tankless water heater. Rated for 1300 watts:

I don’t recommend the ZEN07 that @ritchierich mentioned because it’s only 13 amp and I have some and they constantly stop working and have to be reset by manually unplugging them and then plugging them back in.

The ZEN06 has a max load of 15 amp 1800 watt and it’s been really reliable for me.

The Aeon Labs DSC06106-ZWUS that @eibyer mentioned is actually my favorite, but you can’t buy them anymore…

Mine has been working reliably for the past 6 months outside covered with a weather box. I only use it for power sensing and disabled the switching capability in the device handler.

Thanks guys. I wound up going with the SmartThings smart outlet because I have two others that have been working flawlessly. Inside the instruction manual it says 12A, which as I understand it is far greater capacity than the 380w that my device uses.
