My SmartOutlet has gone wonky, so I figured that I would re-pair it. But am I correct in understanding that with a Zigbee device, there’s nothing more involved than unpairing and then searching for it again? I know that there have been lots of issues with Z-Wave devices needing an exclusion signal sent as well, so I wanted to verify that I’m not forgetting anything for Zigbee devices.
As far as I know, that’s correct.
We really need a process for re-pairing devices without deleting them from ST. Especially since ST is so unreliable at the moment.
Couldn’t agree more. I have 3 dimmers I’ve just given up on because they fall off the ST network after a week or two. Reconfiguring half a dozen apps for each one when removing, and then repairing them is an annoying maintenance task.
