Raspberry Pi As switchable device

Hello All,

I have a load of raspberry pi’s and lengths of addressable LED strings lying around doing nothing and I would like to make a ST controllable device to on off and hue the LED strings.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a device config for ST and any scripts I would need to run on the PI to communicate with ST.

Would like to be able to send on, off, and colour picker commands and also display the current state back in ST, hopefully all over local network.

All help appreciated.

Sorry - I dont know about switchable devices but I saw this tutorial a while ago how to build your own Echo with a raspberry pi:

I dont have any extra raspberries and the dot is not just $50 but I though this is an exciting project…

Actually very good artical, thanks pizzinini
