This only happens in my dinning room. I have a Linear WD500Z-1 switch controlling 3 LED bulbs in a light fixture.
This has been working flawlessly for the past year, now all of a sudden with the light off, it will blink on the off…or turn on for a few seconds then off.
When the light is on it does not do anything funny.
I have looked in the ST app and I do not see any events for this light.
All my other switches are GE…could there be some type of compatibility issue??
I have a switch that does the same thing on LEDs. Is this a dimmer switch by chance?
I have an extra dimmer laying around I intend to swap out. I won’t be able to swap it out until the rain stops here because it’s a basement and I’ll be completely in the dark. I hate working by flash light.
I’m having almost the same issue - but the switches are showing events in the IDE:
2016-12-01 7:18:30.362 PM CST 1 day ago DEVICE switch off Basement Lights switch is off
2016-12-01 7:18:15.274 PM CST 1 day ago DEVICE level 29 Basement Lights level is 29%
2016-12-01 7:18:15.274 PM CST 1 day ago DEVICE switch on Basement Lights switch is on
Or
2016-12-01 9:52:27.157 AM CST 2 days ago DEVICE switch off Basement Lights switch is off
2016-12-01 9:52:15.162 AM CST 2 days ago DEVICE switch on Basement Lights switch is on
Or
2016-12-01 3:19:06.331 AM CST 2 days ago DEVICE switch off Basement Lights switch is off
2016-12-01 3:18:59.484 AM CST 2 days ago DEVICE level 1 Basement Lights level is 1%
2016-12-01 3:18:59.484 AM CST 2 days ago DEVICE switch on Basement Lights switch is on
What is intriguing is that the dimmer level is changing - I’m pretty sure it defaults to it’s last set level - which is why I’m wondering if there is some interference possible.
It’s a 3 way switch, so I’d like to avoid replacement as my automation budget is limited - though I’ve heard the GE’s are a little better than the Linears…
Thoughts?
