Problem with Light automation, period of time, and light run-time. ;(

OK, here’s what I have. In the old app, this worked.
Running a v2 hub, ST door/multipurpose sensor (new) sensor, and ST plug in module (front light) also new. All devices connect and talk correctly to each other and the hub.
The hub, front door sensor, and plug in module (front light) are in the same room, across the open room from each other, about 20 feet away, and the hub is about 5 feet off the ground on a computer hutch.

I have a front door sensor, that if it opens between 430pm and 6am, I want the kitchen light and front room light to turn on. I want the front room light to stay on for 6 to 7 minutes, then turn itself off, during that time period.
I have tried modifying/tweaking/resaving the automation that came over to the new app from the old app, I have tried building a whole new automation, tried running it through the smartlight app, to no avail. The main problem at the moment is that the front room light will not always turn off, and it also turns itself on at any time of the day or night that the front door opens. The turn off automatically after 7 min (sic) part is not working consistently.
Some of the fields in automations are not keeping their selection.
Also, in custom automation, when you select a period of time, under IF/Then, I’ve tried starting it at 430pm and ending at 730am, and it won’t let me roll that into the next day. Sunset and sunrise doesn’t work very well either.
Anyone have this scenario working, by chance, in the new app?

There’s a known bug with the custom automation creator’s turn off after X minutes feature. Should still work with Smart Lighting, though.
