Does SmartThings read these forums? I’ll post my issues here in hopes they’re reading.
Issue #1: I have a multipurpose sensor with 2 ifs - between sunrise and sunset and motion detected. Then it will turn on a light (I’ve got it doing the opposite as well.) It won’t work unless I take out the sunrise-sunset. It worked for a while last week.
Issue #2: A motion detector turns on a light fine. If I set the light to turn off after 10 seconds or 1 minute it does just that. However, if I set it turn off after 10 minutes or 15 minutes it will stay on for eternity. This used to work perfectly.
I really hope they get these issues resolved shortly. I’m spending way too much on something that’s supposed to make my life easier.
This forum was setup for customers to help other customers. It’s not an official support channel. So you should go ahead and open a support ticket, but they’ve been taking a while to get back to people recently.
Meanwhile, though, I’m sure there are lots of people who would be glad to help here if we can.
I don’t think it’s possible with the official features to set the motion sensor to turn off after 10 seconds, is it? Are you using webcore?
Anyway, as @sidjohn1 , if you could post screenshots of whatever you used to set up the automation, that would help.
Also, we need to ask three questions:
One) what country are you in?
Two) what model of hub do you have?
Three) which version of the smartthings mobile app are you using, classic or “smartthings ( Samsung connect)”?
