Presence Sensors won't pair

I recently resurrected my only presence sensor, one that I could never get to work reliably. A new battery was reported as dead 5 minutes after installation (again) so I did what others have done and soldered it to an external AA battery pack and it now works perfectly for my bike. Wanting to extend this success to the family cars, I bought a few more presence sensors. As you don’t seem to be able to buy them anywhere in UK stores at present I got them from eBay. They look genuine and behave correctly, in that pressing the button lights the LED for 5 seconds then goes blank, as you would expect for a reset.

Problem is, none of them will pair and I’m out of ideas, so I’m now seeking inspiration from the community. I have scoured other topics here and so far I have:

  • tried to pair in both the Classic App and STSC App
  • tried to pair next to a ZigBee outlet repeater in the garage when existing bike sensor works just fine
  • tried to pair next to the Hub
  • tried to pair all at the same time as a new motion sensor - that was found OK but presence sensors are not
  • tried resetting each sensor by holding the button for 5 seconds (LED behaves as expected)
  • tried a single press of the button every other second to try and force pairing mode
  • checked that US sensors would work in the UK just in case these are US models (@JDRoberts confirmed in a thread here that they should work
  • tried rebooting the hub

It’s highly unlikely that multiple new sensors are faulty of course so what am I missing here?

When you are attempting to pair, what do you see in live logging in IDE?

Ok, here is some live logging after putting the hub into include mode. I’m inexperienced with logs, but I believe this is the correct stream from “Super LAN Connect” which starts logging after I try and add a device. Pressing the buttons on the presence sensors does not seem to generate any log or other response. Any insight gratefully received as I’m still getting nowhere:
