My device code listed earlier in this thread has preferences for enabling the lux reporting interval which makes it report on schedule instead of based on amount of change. It works well. I assume it drains the battery a little faster but I have one of my sensors using this for a few months and it still reads 100% battery.
Unfortunately this device code doesn’t work right now to set this preference becuase enum preferences have been broken for several weeks now.
If they ever git this fixed I suggest you try my device type modifications.
