I am using SmartThings Home Monitor (via my Aeotec Smart Home Hub) as the alarm system in my home. One of the features I really like is the option to play the “barking dogs” sound on my Sonos speakers when the alarm is triggered. The function works as expected – the sound starts when the alarm is activated and is played correctly through the speakers.
My problem is the duration of this sound.
Right now, the barking stops after about 20–30 seconds, which I find too short for the purpose it is intended to serve. The idea behind the barking dog sound is to scare away intruders and create the impression that there is a dog in the house. If the sound only lasts half a minute, it loses much of its effect.
I would like to emphasize that I am relatively new to using smart home functions. Therefore, I am looking for a solution that is as simple and user-friendly as possible – ideally a setting that I can select directly in Home Monitor, without having to create complicated automations or scenes on the side.
What I would like to see changed is therefore:

That the built-in “barking dogs” sound in Home Monitor can be set to play for a longer time (for example, 2 minutes), or

That an option is added to repeat/loop the sound so it continues until the alarm is disarmed, or
-
That users are given the ability to customize the duration when selecting “barking dogs” in Home Monitor.
