Hi y’all, I might be making a simple mistake, but I am stumped.
I am trying to integrate a few Hue switches to SmartThings. I have installed the Hue Beta Edge Drivers, however they are not coming up as available in the SmartThings app.
The install guide mentioned something about permissions, but I have no idea where to change this setting. Is this the reason why its not working for me?
Edit: By the way, in case you have the Hue hub, there are more ways to integrate it like the official local integration or even Matter, none requiring any driver installation, just the Hue hub / bridge.
If it’s the cloud integration you’ll have Philips Hue in the Linked services section of SmartThings settings.
You can try adding a new device with the plus sign at the top. In Partner Devices select Add, pick Philips Hue and then choose Connect to hub. That’s the official local integration.
What do you mean? Which driver? For the official integration you don’t need to install any driver, it comes with the SmartThings hub.
Devices should be auto discovered once the hub is integrated into SmartThings. What’s the problem exactly, other devices connected to Hue appear but not the switches?
I would like to integrate the Hue Switches using the third party edge driver. I have since installed the Hue edge drivers. However I cannot figure out how to “use” them.
