I came here looking for a solution to the bulbDiscovery problem but no luck including AutomateEverythings solution.
I contacted support and was told that Hue bulbs were not ‘officially supported’ which surprised me considering the prominence with which they’re featured on the web page but that there was a ‘dedicated team’ working on Hue integration and with ‘perseverance’ they should work fine. I’ve questioned the diagnostic value of that perseverance. I’ve also asked why a platform that’s been around as long as Hue has (in HA terms) isn’t fully supported.
I earn my living as a software developer so I really do hate to moan without offering a solution but this current implementation is just not ready.
