I just update the note 9 to android 10. i have iphone xr release 2018(same with note 9) still run new smartthings app

The minimum version is Android 12 since December 22nd, 2025.
When did they terminate Android 10 support? Let me check, December 10th, 2024. You’ll have to sideload an older APK.
Edit: More specifically, the last one you can install is 1.8.21.28 (link to apkmirror although as you may know it’s not a official site)
can i use the app probably? my iphone xr still run fine.
The XR reached its final major software update with iOS 18. It does not support newer iOS versions.
I would not be surprised if SmartThings terminates support for it within the next 2 or 3 years. They generally post notices in the app in November/December.
If SmartThings is working on AI within the app, the support for iOS 18 and below could happen sooner. That would include all the iPhone X series and below.

You’ll have to try at least, the latest app version you can install is two years old so it may or may not work correctly.
In the other post you said you were running an even older version so I guess will be fine except for new features.
