I am not usually one for releasing stuff I write because I am my own worst critic and usually self destruct before putting anything out into the general public (I’ve revised this post more times than I’d like to count). I am trying to change that behaviour…

CoRE is the smartapp (release candidate) that can do just about anything you dream up. It is a little bit of a learning curve but once you go through one it will pay dividends for future automations.

I’ve started this not because I know a bunch about CoRE (Community’s own Rules Engine), in fact it’s quite the opposite. Instead I’m just pulling together some helpful tips which got me get started and got me up and running with this outstanding rule engine for Smartthings.
There is a lot info out there mainly designed to help people do amazing things with CoRE, but it was hard to find the “for Dummies” type info. And very hard for me (a true noob) to get started. CoRE is the middle of pretty major UI change before the final release right now but I wouldn’t let that stop you.
