I got a new phone. I think the old one still shows up because it has never found me at home. I thought could delete and start over, but when I try to delete it says I cannot delete a device still in use. Not sure how to fix
Add your new phone as a presence sensor. Then go to your old phone in things view, go to smart apps and open each one and deselect the old phone and select the new phone. Once there are no smart apps associated with the old phone, just delete it.
