This is also the same result for me. Regardless of if I create a map from image, from hand drawing or arrange rooms.
I don’t have a robot vac option - I only have a wyze vac so that is understandable.

On my smartphone, the map shortcut on the home screen worked perfectly. However, when I add the map shortcut to my wife’s smartphone, when I try to open it, an error message appears saying that she needs to have access granted by the owner of the house. However, if I open the smartthings APP and click on the map icon, it works perfectly on the my wife’s smartphone… The bug only happened when I create a map shortcut in the home area on an account that only has a few devices released by the house manager.
@AlejandroPadilla can you look into this bug, seems like several of us have this issue. i have sent in a email regarding this issue. Thanks for your help
@Tin_Hwee_Wang we are aware of this situation, if you could provide the following information, it would greatly assist us in our investigation. Rest assured, I will keep you informed as soon as there are any updates.
1- Enable the Support Access

Hey thanks @AlejandroPadilla
Happy to give it a try, but need some clarification
I’ve enabled access as instructed.
Presuming the G950 in your example is the Device Model Number, I found TWO dumpState_N975U1…_ with the same date+timestamp… one ends in “.log” (163MB) while the other ends in “.zip” (33.25MB).
Questions:
1- The logs generate a dumpState with some information that can help identify the problem, and some accompanying files provide additional context or diagnostic data
2- Either could work, we normally try to search logs related to SmarThings on dumpstate_log.txt or dumpstate.txt
3- You can send the file to our official email address build@smartthings.com.
4- It will depend on the device itself. Since this is not handled by SmartThings, in similar cases, users in the community typically select the logs related only to SmartThings and send them in our official channels.
But the problem is my Gmail email has a 25MB cap on attachment size, while the zip file is 33MB
I don’t see any log or txt files related to SmartThings.
Should SmartThings had been running when creating the Log files?
@JohnRichard , you can just attach it and it should auto move to your google drive and send it over. or upload to google drive and attached the file in the email via the google drive
Thanks @Tin_Hwee_Wang
I tried in Gmail app on my phone, but it didn’t automatically convert to gdrive/link… Just popped 25MB warning
I did upload to gdrive and sent @AlejandroPadilla DM and build@smartthings.com a link so hopefully that does the trick
@AlejandroPadilla have sent it over via email. thanks
Hi everyone, here are some updates about this situation:
@AlejandroPadilla have resent the revised log
Log sent as requested
There’s now an official press release for the 3D map view. It does say it’s available on iOS, but I still don’t see it.
Hi
This looks like a very cool feature and I want to try it!
Problem is that no matter what I do i get stuck on “creating layout”.
I have tried this:
Take a picture of your floor plan
Freehand draw
Arrange rooms and walls
Restarted my phone
Cleard chashe from app
Reinstalled the app
I have a Pixel 7 pro with SmartThings version 1.8.13.22. Android version 14
Nice one, set this up yesterday by manually drawing the layout and it is correctly set up and works fine.
It is kind of cool to “see” where all of your devices are (once you render the map and drag everything to their proper location of course).
Float back a few posts and you’ll see that others are having the same issue and @AlejandroPadilla is trying to sort it out.
Of four locations/hubs under my control, I was able to set up multiple floors in each hub and everything worked great when it first came out. However, within the last SmartThings Update (or something), I’m only able to access 3 of the 4 and see all of the floors. 1 of the 4 renders with the layout 1/2 off-screen. Hopefully they’ll get to the bottom of it soon
Have not seen it on iOS too.
MAP view is released for IOS @Automated_House
