Well somebody did something that worked. I just went upstairs and the ( Hue) light at the top of the stairs actually came on when I was at the bottom of the stairs, not just as I got to the top stair as it has been doing the last couple days.
Still having issues, sorry guys I’m not the most computer literate, do you mean we have to uninstall hue connect app then re connect it by self publishing it? Sorry I don’t really understand.
If you installed the app via the ide (it would be listed there), if you didn’t or have no idea what I mean by that, then you will have to wait for st to publish the changes they are testing.
I’m sure it will be responded to as ‘not related’ but I swear I’m seeing this delay even on the v1 ST hub and gen2 Hue hub. It was one of those things where I did just add a few bulbs then things seemed to slow down. Both hue bulbs and cree bulbs on hue hub.
I had the same problem I did some research and if you unplug your SmartThings Hub your Hue Lights will work a lot better but if you plug your SmartThings Hub back on I would get the same delay like 3 to 8 Seconds I am going to contact SmartThings tomorrow morning
Your problem is exactly what this thread is about. ST have found a fix that you can apply in your IDE if you installed the Hue Connect that way. Otherwise we have to wait for an update to be released.
This what Smartthings said about the issue, this is a reported issue that we are currently investigating. We don’t currently have a fix or workaround, but this is something we are working to resolve as quickly as possible and I’ll be sure to get this tagged for a follow up. We also have an update on this issue reported on our Status page as well, if you’d like to track progress: http://status.smartthings.com/#
It’s at times like this I see the superiority of using zwave or zigbee light switches. They all go on and off all at once. All the so called smart bulbs have a mind of their own even at the best of times with odd lights not behaving. Right now they are totally unusable.
