New Google Home App / Smartthings Account--help needed

Forgive me if this post is in the wrong place. I’m having issues linking my smartthings account to google home. I had 64 devices connected thru GH via smartthings but when I tried to add new devices that were recently added to ST (the only way I know is to unlink ST and relogin) it unassigned all my devices that I previously setup. None of my lights were assigned to rooms anymore. Any workarounds? Am I doing something wrong?

You will need to add any new devices via the ST app, by selecting the new devices in the checklist for the Google Assistant integration. In the Classic app it’s under automations-smartapps. In STSC you have to go into settings and then connected services. Afterwards you can ask Google to sync your devices, instead of unlinking the connection.
