Netatmo connect

I have held off buying any more Netatmo devices based on this failure. Whoever’s side it is on, its time to resolve it.

I sent an email to Netatmo since they list smartthings integration on their site as well

Care to share what you did to patch it?

I’ve had Netatmo integration working since I purchased it about 3 months ago and then realized that it stopped communicating with the hub on Jan 14th. I’ve not been able to get it connected again. When I get to the screen to approve the connection, I get the message, “The connection could not be established!” It seems that either Smartthings or Netatmo could get this figured out! By the way, here is the error message I get when I dig deeper:

Oh No! Something Went Wrong!
Error:500: Internal Server Error
URI:/oauth/callback
Reference Id:dc36ac14-4a30-4740-954d-9031c2f08d61

Alas, I too have finally been hit by the Netatmo connection failure… they have been working for some time but it finally failed sometime in the recent past and my Netatmo modules were no longer reporting temperatures to SmartThings and when I opened the smartapp it didn’t show any devices.

I removed the Smartapp and attempted to reinstall and no devices are available.

I only had a few smartapps using my netatmo sensors but it would be nice to have this working again.

@a4refillpad what did you end up doing?

You’ve misread my post.

@a4refillpad where?

I am interested to know as well. I lost my netatmo integration about 3 weeks ago.

“Dodgy patch” means “a period of instability”.

I’m in Canada and receiving: org.apache.http.conn.HttpHostConnectException: Connect to api.netatmo.com:443 [api.netatmo.com/195.154.179.238, api.netatmo.com/195.154.172.147] failed: Connection refused

However https://api.netatmo.com works just fine on my local network.

Looks like there is an issue on smartthings status page that has been open since December 2nd. Any way we can get some feedback from SmartThings?

http://status.smartthings.com/

Yes, I opened that ticket on the 2nd.

Nobody seems to want to spend any time trying to fix it this time. This has been the 5th or 6th time it has stopped working in 2

SmartThings appears to care less and less to honor the integrations they sold this system on. There is little reason 3-4 months goes by other than purposeful negligence or no longer caring to support external integrations.

I swear I saw communications from ST on this forum at one point that it was a problem on Netatmo’s side. That’s really concerning if it is actually ST’s side. I am really tired of the disconnect between features, marketing, and engineering for a product we all paid for.

I have emailed netatmo as the error definitely looks like some sort of block on netatmo’s end.

I received the following reply from Netatmo:

Thanks for your mail and interest in Netatmo.
We are working on this with Smarthing,
this issue will be solved quickly,
thanks for your patience.

I was just able to connect my Netatmo.

Me too! Finally.

Well lookie here. It finally works.

I get “invalid URL”. Did you delete and reinstall the smart app? Or just try to re-enter credentials?
