Nest Doorbell Not Reporting to SmartThings

Here’s my setup:
I have Google Nest Doorbell (Wired, 2nd Gen)
I have a Nest account, however, the doorbell is in Google Home
I then have Google Home integrated to SmartThings

The doorbell shows up in SmartThings, and I can view the video. When the doorbell rings, it does notify SmartThings.
HOWEVER, I also want my ‘events’ to notify SmartThings. My plan was to turn on my porch light any time anyone comes into view of the DoorBell.
But I can only do it when they ring the DoorBell, since the ‘person event’ is not bubbling through to SmartThings.

Any idea how to make this work?

You could possibly create a virtual switch in SmartThings (ST) which will automatically show up in Google Home (GH). Then write a GH routine to turn the virtual switch ON when an event occurs. Then in ST use the virtual switch to control your lights.

I have the same doorbell as you, in Google Home. How did you get the device to show up in Smartthings? I do have Google Home linked.

I didn’t do anything special, I linked the two, and had no issues of any type.
Sorry I can’t be more helpful, but it just worked with no effort or changes.
