Nanoleaf Essentials Won't Connect to SmartThings

+1 here, just got a Nanoleaf Essentials Matter, which is supposed to have a better firmware since March.

Not being able to get it onboarded in SmartThings, throwing different errors each time. The usual one is “Something went wrong” “Error code: 04-200”, other times it tells you to get closer to the device, others to reset it.

Plus, since SmartThings does not share the Thread credentials with Android, the Nanoleaf app will try to connect to the Nest Hub network which I don’t want to use and is even disconnected at the moment since I’m only using the SmartThings Thread network now.

Edit: Adding error code 39-107 to the list should someone end here searching in Google. Also tried a factory reset, adding directly to SmartThings instead of the Nanoleaf App, nothing works. Awful experience, I guess any user would just return it.

Edit 2: As stated few comments later, I got it working after some factory resets, NOT pairing with the Nanoleaf app first but using SmartThings and a Samsung tablet. After that, you can pair it with the Nanoleaf app, which doesn’t have anything interesting other than being able to update the firmware or the colour animations. Or with the desktop app, the Screen Mirror is not bad.
