Nanoleaf e27 Thread/Matter colour bulbs, good price alert

Seems like a decent price.

That’s a good price, but they are finicky. Will probably need a firmware updates to work with ST. The NanoLeaf app leaves a little to be desired.

Got to Reddit and read about NanoLeaf. Lots of problems.

I have 6 that I got for $22US, they are ok, but they occasionally go offline. If your phone is not connected to your home WiFi the NanoLeaf app will show them as offline, but they can be controlled by ST.

I visit the sub every day. 95 % PEBKAC, like not realizing that the bulb is connected via Bluetooth or powering it off with the wall switch. Most of them use the Nanoleaf app to control the lights. Heck, often times I have to tell them that they need a TBR…

When I see screenshots, the first thing I check is if the Bluetooth icon is on.

These users mainly use the apps that come with their devices.

the NanoLeaf app will show them as offline, but they can be controlled by ST.

All of my lights are Nanoleaf M/T bulbs and strips and I haven’t had a single issue, but I only use the app for the occasional firmware update.

Just opened the app after weeks and found one bulb offline. It’s located two rooms over and can’t be reached via Bluetooth.

I remember a post on the Nanoleaf subreddit where I had to tell someone that his WiFi mesh network is not Thread…

I concur with Andreas, although I only have 5 bulbs in operation and have been using them for about 3 weeks now I have no issues with them. I have a couple in rooms with other lights which are zigbee and when triggered to turn on via a motion sensor routine the Nanoleaf thread bulb turns on faster compared to the zigbee switches. (Lower latency)

When I use an Aqara H2 M/T wall switch to control a Nanoleaf bulb, it’s virtually instantaneous. If I’d have a guess: 30 ms.
