Moving away from Bali blinds motorization app

Hey all, I am a total newbie to SmartThings and also to Z-wave, but I am very tech-oriented - build my own PCs, network admin at small business before I retired, etc.
I just bought my second Bali cellular motorized blind and their crappy app has me pulling out my non-existent hair. So I wondered whether SmartThings is the answer? I now have 2 blinds, and 2 Ezlo PlugHub Energy devices. I also have a newer Samsung fridge that I think has a SmartThings hub built into it? Would I need to get some other kind of hub as well, or do I have what I need to try to make this work? I have a Wi-Fi 7 mesh network with a separate 2.4 GHz SSID for IoT devices and also a couple of Amazon Echos in the house.
Thanks for any help you can offer!

You’d need a dedicated hub like the Aeotec SmartThings Hub, because the integrated hubs don’t support Z-Wave.

The Bali blinds seem to work out of the box and it looks like @nathancu is the expert in this topic.

Thanks @Andreas_Roedl - I was hoping I wouldn’t have to spend another $200 on a hub just to get these blinds working properly :crossed_fingers:

It’s a one-time investment and opens up endless possibilities!

By the end of the year you’ll have 200 devices connected to the hub, controlled by countless routines.
