Matter plugs with power metering not showing the power metering

Hello, I just got a Shelly Plug S and a Ledvance Plug EU, both with power metering, and after installing both show only on/off option. Any ideas? I used the ST matter plug driver.

Yes, kindly ask Shelly and Ledvance to update their smart plugs to Matter 1.3 and report the power so SmartThings can display it.

Thank you for your help. I have sent support tickets for both products. I hope to get an answer soon.

Vendors are taking their time to update to Matter 1.3, I wonder if it’s because of the re-certification process needed.

I’m waiting for their moves, in fact I didn’t get the Shelly because I knew it would not report the power via Matter. And I didn’t get a second Tapo P110M because they’ve not yet updated it (it’s one of the most voted feature requests in Tapo forums) nor released the P115M announced in 2023.

The Eve Energy reports energy in SmartThings but it’s not yet via Matter 1.3 but via a custom cluster with specific support in the drivers. It’s expensive though.

By the way, it would be cool if the color ring of the Shelly could be controlled, but I guess that’s not exposed to Matter either.

Already forgot this device and thread?

So the Meross MSS315 would be an option for those who are okay with Matter over WiFi devices…

My understanding is that Meross requires a beta/test firmware, non certified I guess, that you have to ask Meross to push to your device.

Don’t know what the current state of affairs is regarding the Meross plug.

The Eve Energy firmware (3.5.0) with Matter 1.3 support was certified quite a while ago but as far as I know it’s not released yet.

I’m waiting for an update for my otherwise excellent Meross power strips:
