I have recently purchased ZemiSmart Curtain motors, Which I’ve connected to a ZigBee matter bridge and connected to SmartThings. However the SmartThings devices are reversed.
When the curtains are Open in Tuya, they are closed in SmartThings, And closed they open. And way of reversing these settings?
The Zigbee driver has preferences to reverse or invert the direction for some devices.
The Matter does not… 
I’d send a feature request and hope they’ll change that.
Can you enable support access to your account and the device’s name so I can check its details, please?
- Go to the SmartThings Web (my.smartthings.com)
- Log in to your Samsung Account
- Select Menu (⋮) and choose Settings
- Toggle on Account Data Access
- Select the time period and confirm - In this step, please select “Until turned off”, once the team finishes, we’ll let you know so you can disable it again.
I’ve enabled access for 7 days if you can confirm when your finished your investigation. The name of the curtains is Main curtain left, and there is a Main curtain right too.
Any update on this ? I’ve checked on the ZigBee driver and it has options for reversal of the curtain drivers, but not for the Matter version
The fix is almost ready, but there is no estimated time for its release at the moment. As soon as we have more information, we will let you know.
Hi the fix looks like it was implemented, It’s half working when the matter device is enabled in reverse mode.
It displays as open when open, closed when closed. Set to 0% it’s closed and 100% is also closed.
However the open button closes the curtains and the closed button still opens them. So almost fixed but slightly off
Delete and re-add the device in the app.

So it’s a Zigbee device, that is Matter bridged. What brand/model is that bridge? I’m asking, because your bridge seems to be the problem.
The SmartThings Matter window covering driver sends two commands: DownOrClose and UpOrOpen.
And as you can tell by their names, they do exactly what they should.
If your device does the opposite, there must be something wrong with the device (polarity, plus/minus reversed at the motor?) itself or the Zigbee<->Matter bridge.
