i got a Problem with the MagicHome Led WiFi Controller…
i use the app magichome and find the device.
Connect everything and it works for a couple minutes/hours.
After a while the app says device offline and I can‘t control it anymore.
If I reset everything and connect the led controller to my router Again it works again only for a couple minutes or hours.
Does anybody has the same problems?
I have a similar issue as follows: I have two Magic Home LED WiFi controllers, LED Strips and Magic Home app. I cannot get either of the controllers to connect to the app via WiFi router BT Home Hub). I can connect WiFi direct. When trying to connect via WiFi router the app does not find the RGBW controller and yet I can see the controller is connected to the WiFI router in the router DHCP table. Has anyone else experienced this and do they know how to fix it please?
They do not working directly with Smartthings… as for losing connection etc they are not high quality and I couldn’t get it to connect all then one day it just started working… I can’t explain it…
I have exactly the same issue, and I have three of these. Not one will stay online. I fear these things are simply cheap junk. I first thought of returning them, and trying with new ones, but with three out of three failing, I don’t think it’s worth the trouble. Especially after reading this.
I recently got three of these working with the Android Magic Home app and Alexa. Today, one of the units is showing offline and the LEDs are turned on. I unplugged the power momentarily and the LEDs are still on and Magic Home shows it offline. I also tried stopping and starting the Android app with no change. Alexa says “Hmmm. Hutch Light is not responding”. Next, I’ll try resetting to defaults (on-off-on-off…) and connecting to the router. (Mostly because I have two more controllers in a shipping container somewhere between here and China)
I have a question refacing the magic home controller, I bought a set of headlights for my Jeep, and it came with one of these in the box to control the color effects on the headlights. It stopped working and the company sent me another to replace it. I’d like to wire it to a fuse to avoid the next one from shorting out, what size fuse would you all recommend?
I only have one bulb connected to Magic Home and it worked fine for the first week I had it. But then it had trouble connecting and it would say the bulb wasn’t responding when I tried turning it off/on. However, when I click the power for “all devices” it turns off and if I hit the power button for the specific light it turns on. When the light is on it still says “light off” under the bulbs name. I tried resetting it but it didn’t work. Any advice to fix this?
I purchased a pack of three. I only use them for about an hour each day. Each bulb has only lasted about a month. Very disappointed. I get the message that the light is not connected to wifi, and I cannot get it to reconnect. The light will flash briefly when I try to turn it on manually, but will not stay on. Looking for a better alternative!
By the way. It took ages, but I have received this and it works fine in the old app, but the crashes everytime you change a setting in the new app (get an error about time out, any time I change a setting) not very inspiring for moving to the new app, but anyway.
Let me know if anyone else has any similar experiences?
So I got the magic home led bulb and it worked fine for about 2 weeks. Got it September 6th. Yesterday, September 17th, it just turned off. Power still on in the house, took it out of my lamp and tried some other places in the house but it’s still not turning on. I tried doing a reset on it but nothing happened. What can I do?
