Lowe's Iris Sensors (New CentraLite models)

They do work with hub V1

Mitch, have you looked at the temperature reporting at all? Mine don’t spontaneously report, only upon refresh. I recall seeing someone else saying that, but not any solution. If I was more versed in zigbee, I’d look through the device myself… No worries if you haven’t yet, just curious.

I don’t have the motion sensor, so I can’t verify that one. The door sensor absolutely should be reporting. I’m guessing that the sensor missed the message that configures reporting/binding for that attribute. Mine report like clockwork. The delays in the configure section may need some tweaking if it’s not catching all the commands.

I have the device, and I don’t mind cryptic pointers to try and test. Like telling me the delays may need tweaking? I’m your man, I can break (I mean tweak) stuff to no end. Wish me luck, hope I don’t bring the cloud down!

Thanks the cloud was taking a while I guess to update. Worked I have no patience

I have an Iris motion sensor and I can confirm that it does update every hour if the temp has changed. If no temp change, then no report shows up in the recent events of the app. I have not left the live log going long enough to see what is or isn’t reported there.

I looked through my events. Seems they might be working, just very stable measurements. I almost don’t believe it. Might run some tests.

Hi, After 2 weeks using my iris motion detection to turn off a hallway light, the battery decreased to 66%. While I have a smartthings motion detection at 100% at the living room just for security reasons. Is that normal?

I have the 4 button fob and the red “panic button”-style fob coming, supposedly by Friday. I’m thinking that these will be very simple to add support for as generic button controllers. Fingers crossed!

Was in my Lowe’s this morning. They had swapped over to the new plan-o-gram layout for the Iris products. They don’t have everything yet, but did have the open/close, motion sensors and keypad… and they had a new Outdoor camera with motion detector on it, never seen that one before?

Well I went out and bought a contact sensor and the motion detector…both of them were recognized as “thing” - I then went in and copied the code/changed the device type and they now show as configured…however, switch is permanently open/not temp and the motion detector is permanently set as motion/no temp. I have reset as recommended in the above but I can’t get either one to work properly - what am I missing?

Dave

Did you use the ris Motion/Temp Sensor device type as mine does show both motion and temp.

Yes…It have tried the IRIS that I copied from the references from this discussion and I have also tried the smart sense device types referenced in here. They are recognized but they don’t change states…I guess they don’t work at all other than showing up in the APP.

Dave

Try to remove and re-add one now that you have the right device types. Mine worked right away with SmartSense types, and then I switched to the Iris. Sometimes when installations get interrupted, ST is not the best at handling it.

Thanks That worked great for the open/close contact…and it will probably work for the motion detector but I can delete it - says its in use my smart rules app…even thought I have double checked that its not…

The 4 button fob does connect as a “thing” but to my knowledge there isn’t currently a working device type.

Let me know if you have better success with it.

I have tried all the fob one to no luck

I’m using one of the iris contact sensors in my freezer for the temp monitor.
This thing is reporting temp changes about every ten minutes, which will of course kill the battery fast. The freezer apparently swings between -8 to 7° F.

Has anyone changed the temp reporting time? I think something like once an hour would be perfect or maybe with a 5° temp change instead of 1°.

I appreciate any help with this.

Has anyone paired one of the Gen 2 smart buttons yet? I can’t get mine to connect, even as a Thing

Try changing it’s location. Refrigeration is notoriously bad in temp stability. I don’t think the hardware is capable of muting itself like the Aeon HEM is.
