'Lighting Groups' not functioning properly (Jan 2025)

Have several ‘lighting groups’ set up to group control various lights and these have been working fine. I noticed over the weekend that the lighting groups, while still visible as a card in the room, were not accessible. You could turn the lights on and off as a group but if you tap the card, there are no options for changing color, dimming etc. All the settings and options are gone–the screen is blank with the exception of the lighting group name at the top. I deleted and recreated the lighting groups which did nothing. I restarted my phone (Galaxy S23 Ultra) and that did nothing. If I look at the information for the lighting groups, the devices are shown properly as belonging to the group–and as I said, you can still turn the group on and off from the card. Anyone else experiencing this? I have opened a ticket with Smartthings but I am certain I will get the usual boilerplate nonsense from them

In my testing, it seems the options on the device card are defaulting to the lowest common denominator features. When I have two devices that support color and temperature, I get those options. If I add a device that just supports on/off and dimming, those options go away.

I think that is correct. But I have grouped exactly the same devices and the group has been working perfectly well. Now the card you are showing is completely blank–except for the name of the group on the top. No controls, no options. Nada,

I don’t use the app much because it’s cloud based and have smart buttons and automations to control stuff but yesterday I noticed cards behaviour was a bit strange, like not updating, ignoring my actions, taking forever or not even opening. Probably a SmartThings cloud issue, it worked fine later in the evening.

I noticed it after the December update. Im also seeing issues with the home dashboard not showing things like devices with low battery. Few other annoyance (like selecting devices to use) are not working. Just generally a bad update im my opinion.
