Life360 failing

I’ve been using this for about a year and a half without any major concerns.

About a week ago life360 stopped changing my presence in ST. I get my life360 app notifications and it’s accurate, but ST isn’t seeing it.

I have to go into the smartapp and update before anything happens… Which makes it pointless.

Is this a known issue? Or is this just my system?

That’s about right, same with mine

Mine is okay. I have had this happen in the past though. A fix was to reselect the user in the ST SmartApp if I recall correctly.

Yeah, that usually works, go into the life360 connect smart app and click done. That works, for right then.

I’ve only had to do it the once and since I did all has been fine again. I have two users that use it.

No problems with any of the 5 Life360 presence sensors in my setup.

Every so often I have to reset the SmartApp. It’s far enough between resets that I totally forget about the annoyance until the next time. I blame it on Smartthings updates, but without any real evidence…

I wish I could programmatically kick it in the pants.

What do you mean by reset it?

Open app, click on home (not sure if that part is necessary) done done. Something like that. Easy but annoying to discover.

I realize i may not have been clear. Home is the name of my location and the app is the Life360 app.

Are you saying resetting the app doesn’t work?

If you then go into Life360 does it show everyone in the right places?

Yeah, from the life360 side, everything is perfect. It’s just the communication between ST and life360

Stopped working for me about a week ago as well

Go into the Life360 app, click done through and… nothing, still didn’t work.

I then deleted the app and the devices, 1 phone worked, the other didn’t. Deleted it again and now both are working today

This seems to happen every few months

I also can’t uninstall the app to start over…

Ever since my wife upgraded to a Pixel XL we seem to be having the same issue. It’s odd that her phone and even my phone will show that she is home in Life360, but not in ST.

Same here. Since the last ST Android update. Life360 is not working consistent with ST but Life360 working great with piper cam for me. What did you do ST?

I just sent an email to support today to see what they have to say about it.

UPDATE:

Support responded yesterday with:

“… After pulling up your account, I’m seeing several errors regarding the Life360 & SmartThings integration. With your permission, I would like to delete the Life360 integration from my end and have you re-configure it via the SmartThings App from your end…”

and again today with:

“… I am still working on it. Before I can remove the Life360 integration, it is necessary for me to remove your wife’s phone. I have already removed your phone but your wife’s phone is being particularly difficult due to its association with SmartApps/Routines and Core…”

they had me remove her phone from all of my SmartApps & Routines, then:

“…I have removed Cara’s phone and also removed Life360 Integration from my end. Can you please go ahead and re-add the Life360 Integration?”

so here I go, setting up Life360 integration again… we’ll see what happens.

Presence has been working on both of our phones again. Idk if this is any different than if I would have removed it all myself, and I guess we’ll see how long this lasts, but so far it’s a win for me.
