Hi,
I have what I think is a simple question. I have a light in a three way configuration using two ordinary (not smart) switches. I want to replace one of the switches with a Leviton DZS15-1BZ switch. Do I need to replace the second switch or will the Leviton work with the non-smart switch I already have?
If I need to replace the second switch is there a specific model that pairs with the DZS15-1BZ?
You must replace all the switches. Networked switches are not wired the same way as non-networked switches and need auxiliaries which are specifically designed to work with their model. See the FAQ:
There are two different auxiliary switches that Leviton makes that can work with the DZS15, but it depends on your exact setup.
Just follow the manufacturer’s instructions on the following page . If you don’t understand them, get in touch with Leviton support and they will help you select the right auxiliary.
