Issue setting up Osram Smart+ bulbs with ST

I just just purchased ST starter kit plus 4 x Osram Smart+ GU5.3 spots and am having trouble figuring out how to connect these to ST.

Amazon page said these bulbs are compatible with ST.

The leaflet with the bulbs is not helpful. It suggests you go to www.osram-lamps/smart-home to download their app however this page contains no link to download an app. It is possible their app is also only for use with their own gateway which I don’t have as the Amazon page suggested I can use ST.

The ST support pages suggest you just discover the new device, however, using the new ST app (as recommended by Samsung, not the ST classic app), you have to select ‘add device’, then ‘light bulbs’ which presents with a list of options but no Osram options. So this does not help me either.

Any ideas?

Do not use the new ST (Samsung Connect) app. Use the ST Classic app. The new app is not yet a complete and fully functioning app.

Thanks so much, ST classic picked up the bulbs. I then had to use IDE to manually re-classify them as the app didn’t recognize the ‘type’ automatically. Bulbs now working

Hi, I’m having the exact same problem yoi had with these bulbs, what “name” did you use to reclassify them in IDE in order to get full functionality? Thanks!

Apologies for not responding sooner. I classified them as:
ZigBee White Color Temperature Bulb
Hope you have got them working!

I bought two Osram SMART+ Outdoor Lantern 50cm versions off Amazon a few months ago on the basis they said they worked with Zigbee, so I didn’t think an additional bridge would be required.

It’s this model here.

I don’t see any way to put the light into pairing mode. Product data sheet says turn it on for 5 seconds, off for 5 seconds 5 times to factory reset it, but didn’t notice anything when doing that. Have tried it in the new Smartthings app, the classic app, and in the Philips Hue app but no sign of it. Any ideas on how to get this thing identified?
