You should try it again. There have been some changes and updates.

You can always use both. I primarily use the new app for everything, but prefer to use the old app for phone presence sensors and the ability to automatically unlock the garage door when I get home. I really like the automations in the new app, but they really need to change the default weather tile so it will display temp instead of humidity…

I have custom device handlers which I’m pretty sure won’t work without code modifications in the new app. I’m reluctant to modify code so I’ll stick with the classic app until I absolutely have to switch over
